Stir-fried Cabbage and green peas

INGREDIENTS
2 cups - Cabbage, shredded or finely chopped
1 large - Onion, finely chopped
1 medium - Tomato, finely chopped
1-inch - Ginger, chopped
5 cloves - Garlic, finely chopped
⅔ cup - Green peas, frozen
1 tsp - Vegetable oil
½ tsp - Mustard seeds
1 tsp - Cumin seeds
2 - Green chilies, chopped
¼ tsp - Turmeric powder
1 tsp - Chili powder
2 tsp - Coriander powder
1 tsp - Cumin powder
½ tsp - Garam masala
1 dash - Salt
¼ cup - Water

Knife, Chopping board, Pan
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over a medium heat. Add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
2. Add the chopped ginger, garlic and green chilies. Fry for 1 minute.
3. Add the chopped onion and turmeric powder. Fry until the onion becomes translucent.
4. Add the chopped tomato and fry for 1 minute.
5. Add the red chili powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Stir well.
6. Add the chopped cabbage and peas. Mix well.
7. Add the water, cover with a lid and cook over a medium heat. Stir occasionally.
8. Open the lid and add more water if required. Cook till the cabbage and peas are soft.
9. Add the garam masala and salt. Stir well.
10. Serve hot.
