Fried Chicken in Lemon Sauce

INGREDIENTS
320g - Chicken breast, skinless, boneless, cut into bite-size pieces
½ tsp - Salt
¼ tsp - Black pepper, ground
1 tsp - Paprika
¾ cup - Breadcrumbs
½ cup - Wheat bran
2 pcs - Egg
½ cup - Canola oil
1 tb - Maple sugar
⅔ cup - Water
1 tb - Lemon juice, raw
1 pc - Lemon, slice into thin rounds
½ tb - Cornstarch
UTENSILS
Mixing bowl, Frying pan/ Air fryer, Wok, Blender, Chopping board, Knife
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Season chicken with salt, pepper and paprika. Set aside.
2. Blend breadcrumbs and wheat bran together in a food processor or blender. Set aside.
3. Beat two eggs in a bowl. Set aside.
4. Dip the seasoned chicken into the beaten egg and roll it in the breadcrumbs.
5. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the breaded chicken and fry them until golden brown. Dab away the excess oil using a paper towel and set aside.
6. Mix the maple sugar, cornstarch, water, lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
7. Heat a wok over medium heat, add the lemon sauce and once it starts to bubble, add the lemon slices. Stir and turn off the heat.
8. Pour the lemon sauce over the fried chicken and serve.
